Exhibition
The national exhibition is the next exciting phase of the community arts project, which has attracted thousands of postcards from around the world.

What is being exhibited?
250 postcards of the thousands sent in during 2008 have been chosen to form the exhibition.
Please read the Curatorial Statement from the exhibition's curator Helen Carey.  for insight into how the cards were chosen, what they say and how they will be displayed.

How were the cards chosen?
The exhibition will travel to seven counties in Ireland beginning in Dublin this April and ending in Westmeath in July of this year. Project artist, Teresa Doyle and curator, Helen Carey, have ndertaken the mammoth task of curating the postcards. Their job was made difficult due to the high standard of the work but they are pleased with their final selection.

“It’s a pity we couldn’t include them all but selecting 250 highly expressive postcards was gratifying and seeing the story emerge was very exciting. The exhibition will be quite something,” said curator, Helen Carey.  For more, please read the Curatorial Statement.

Some of the cards that featured on this website will appear as part of the exhibition, but the majority have not been seen before.
